Do
you want sailing adventure and experiences in new waters? Do
you want to build some sea miles and to gain some skippering
experience? If so come and join one of our Sailing Breaks!
You can come on your own, with a friend or partner,
or as part of a small group. Either way you will be amongst like
minded people, with the security
of your own skipper/instructor.
Our yachts cater for small numbers (6 to 8 people)
of any level of sailing
ability (beginner to yachtmaster).
Easter
Channel Hop 09-13 April 2009
We
depart early on Good Friday, after Hot Cross Buns and a safety
brief, and head out into the Channel for Cherbourg, aiming
for supper in the wonderful old town.
From here we plan to continue east to the very picturesque fishing port
of St Vaast where the fresh fish is awesome. Arrival here is in time
to crack open our Easter eggs and gives time to explore, before heading
back overnight across the Channel, aiming to arrive back in Gosport by
early afternoon on Easter Monday
May
Day Alderney Adventure 01-05 May 2009
Join
us on Friday evening for a drink, when you get to meet the
rest of the crew before our sail to Braye, our base on Alderney.
Over Sunday and some of Monday we have the choice
of cycling some of the 50 miles of paths or joining the Alderney
Wildlife Trust's Dawn Chorus Walk (with cooked breakfast)- or
you can do both! On Monday we join the May Day Ramble around
Alderney organised by the Alderney
Wildlife Trust.
On Monday late afternoon we set sail overnight to the Solent overnight
and aim to be back in Gosport by early afternoon on Tuesday.
Osborne
House Festival Weekend 24-26 July 2009
Join us on the Friday evening for a meal and a chance to meet your fellow
crewmates. On the Saturday morning, following breakfast and a safety
brief, we set sail into the Solent, eventually arriving at East Cowes
marina in the mid/late afternoon.
From
the marina at East Cowes it is a short walk to Osborne House, in a spectacular
setting overlooking the Solent. Our picnic spot will already be laid
out and waiting, all you need to bring is a drink or two (which we have
time to buy enroute to Osborne House).
We spend the evening being entertained by Bournemouth
Philharmonic Orchestra, who finish, of course, with Pomp and
Circumstance (don’t forget your Union Jack flag!). The
evening ends with a ‘bang’ – a spectacular
firework display – before we wend our way back to the marina.
On the Sunday we set sail into the Solent again
and arrive back at our berth in Gosport for mid/late afternoon.
Channel
Islands Cruise 27-31 August 2009
Join
us on Thursday evening for a drink and introductions. We plan to
depart early on Friday morning for St Peter Port, Guernsey.
On Saturday we get to explore the town for a couple of hours before heading
to Herm or Sark for the night.
On Sunday we get time for more land based exploring before sailing back
across the Channel overnight, aiming to arrive back in Gosport by mid afternoon
on Monday.
Brittany
Coast Cruise Milebuilder 13-20 September 2009
The
ultimate destination is the area around Brest on the
Brittany coast (some 200 nautical miles from Gosport).
This coastline provides some challenging sailing and
some spectacular scenery.
Island
Hopping in the Ionian, Greece 03-10 October
2009
Join us for cruising the Ionian Islands of Greece, one of the most beautiful
and safest cruising grounds in the Mediterranean, with plenty of secret
bays and local tavernas.
